The new book "Democracy in Chains: The Deep History of the Radical Right's Stealth Plan for America" by Nancy MacLean explains how our government policies have gotten so mean and Republican politicians have become so stubborn and disconnected from the truth. I would highly recommend reading this book. It is available in hardcover, paperback, kindle and audio book. We must inform ourselves and take steps to win back our government in 2018 and 2020.
The democracy we all know is under attack even more than we may have realized. The Koch brothers ultimate goals is the change the constitution and make it impossible for normal people to effect any change. There are 25 states who have called for a Constitutional Convention, they only need 6 more. They want to deconstruct the administrative state aka the Federal government and under Trump they are doing it now. These maniacal people have been planning and scheming for over 50 years and seem to be really close to achieving their goals. They only liberty or freedom libertarians oligarchs, like the Koch Brother, are promoting is their own liberty and freedom, not mine or yours. All the people that are knowingly or unknowingly doing the bidding of the Koch Brothers are going to be as screwed as everyone else, they just don't know it. The Koch Brothers minions are blinded by their own twisted motivations.
We don't really have much time left before it will be impossible to make non-violent change. All the people who want a better America and better world have to stand together and vote. In 2018 and 2020 everyone has to vote for democrats. Voting is the most important thing you can do. The Oligarchs don't want you to vote, they few people who vote the better if is for the rich. Everyone who is eligible to vote needs to register to vote and then follow through and vote. We need to put a our stubbornness about how some Dems are not progressive enough or whatever the reason you have for not voting for them. Democracy, human rights, and our actual freedom is at stake and so is earth because of climate change. If Democrats don't win these next few elections, we can kiss our rights good bye. No other party can beat these people. It is a fantasy that a third party will arise and make it all better. No third party is going to get enough votes but they might take way enough votes to make the Democrats lose. I never thought, I would live to see the destruction of the United States of America and I hope I still won't. This madness cannot be allow happen. They really want to take us back to the 19th century. There were very few people who were happy then.
